Made of pear wood, this beautiful recorder is tuned to the
pentatonic scale and is the ones used in Waldorf Schools
around the world. Its simple design makes it easy for little
hands to change notes by covering and uncovering
the holes. Keep your recorder in good condition with
Choroi oil (2564) Choroi flutes possess a tone that sounds
more like a voice than an instrument. A free out breathing,
rather than an active blowing forms the foundation for
the tone. The mouth and lip position also contributes to
the tone formation.
The fingers gently touch the specially formed finger holes,
which allow half steps to be achieved naturally by half-covering
the holes. The interval and pentatonic flutes and specially
developed for use by young children age 4, 5, and 6.
The diatonic flute can be introduced at the age of 7.
