說明	我們推出「慈心足跡」這個新的書系呈現慈心深耕華德福教育二十年來, 在課程方面所累積的心血第一本書是由英語老師Anika所改寫並繪製插畫的《Happy Jack》適合作為國小學童的英語教材 #使用本書的特別注意事項: 這本書是慈心華德福學校的英文老師，根據英語世界知名的兒童故事改寫而成，目前在慈心的小學五年級英語課裡使用。華德福學校從一年級開始教授英語，不過，要到三年級才開始認識英文字母，四年級起逐步進入閱讀的領域。五年級接觸到這本《Happy Jack》，以其趣味性的故事、反覆出現的句型贏得學生的喜愛，課堂裡使用本書的效果很好。若您的孩子也就讀華德福學校，建議您詢問學校老師是否會採用這本讀物為課堂教材，若老師有此打算的話，建議您不要讓孩子事先閱讀本書，把認識Jack以及後續的驚奇保留在課堂裡，讓您的孩子和其他學習同伴一起經歷可愛又有趣的《Happy Jack》故事。我們把一些練習的題目和課堂活動的建議提供在書後，作為教學資源、也作為孩子額外學習的材料；插畫設計的構想是要讓學生可以自行著色，最後形成個人化的彩色讀本。希望《Happy Jack》的學習之旅不只是新奇有趣的故事情節，也幫孩子打下良好的英語基礎。
